Ninnian Hayes ( b 27 Oct 1882) was my grandfather. My father was M Hayes( b 1920). My name is J Hayes.

I have not verfied the following , but appears that my family traces back to Leander Hayes(1800 Georgia).
-Need to verify this and trace prior to 1800.

John Wilce Hayes' father was Leander Hayes, born 14 March 1800 in Georgia. He died 1 March 1867 in Woodstock, Ala. Leander married Susan Tatum on 8 July 1827. Susan Tatum was born 10 Sept 1810 in Va and she died 14 March 1888.

John Wilce Hayes, born 24 April 1853 near Woodstock, Ala. Died 17 May 1916 in Pratt City, Ala. John married Rebecca Mitchell, who was born 27 March 1859 at or near Coaling, Tuscaloosa, Ala. Rebecca died 26 Jan 1907 at or near Searles, Tuscaloosa, Ala.

John Wilce Hayes and Rebecca Mitchell had 9 children:

Burkett; Mamie Melba Hayes born 8 Nov 1893, Coaling, Ala. died 8 Dec 1984, married Grover Cleveland Pledger; Willie Hayes( twin), born 23 July 1895, Cottendale, Ala, died 27 Aug 1974, Birmingham, Ala. married Myrtle McMullen; and (twin) Wilcie Hayes, 23 July 1895, married to Mae Avery
